Chief Executive Officer
Mitchell has responsibility for the business and leads the overall development of the company. Throughout his career, Mitchell has distinguished himself as an architect and builder of organizations focused on bringing innovative healthcare services to the marketplace.
Prior to joining Vital Decisions, Mitchell was co-founder and the CEO of IntrinsiQ Research, a leader oncology electronic medical record and information company which was acquired by a leading private equity firm in 2006. Prior to this venture, Mitchell was the President of Datamonitor, Inc, an international healthcare market advisory firm, and management consultant with Deloitte Consulting. Mitchell holds an engineering degree from Rutgers University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Chief Operating Officer
Colleen has responsibility for all clinical and business operations and growth of counseling operation, HR (recruiting and training), client operations, informatics and specialized focus in developing standard systems as well as process and technologies to enable rapid scaling of operations. She works directly with the CEO to continuously refine and adapt the Company’s Strategic Plan in response to changes in the external market and internal learning.
Prior to joining Vital Decisions, Colleen had oversight of all staff development, training, development of clinical standards and implementation of the agency’s Electronic Health Record for a large California based Non-Profit Behavioral Health organization. Colleen has over 15 years clinical experience in behavioral healthcare and over 10 years’ experience in management of behavioral healthcare programs including holding Senior Level positions in a large behavioral health provider. Colleen is also a trainer and consultant for other non-profit organizations. Colleen has a Master Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a member and Board Member of MINT, AAMFT-approved supervisor and clinical member of CAMFT and AAMFT.
Chief Commercial Officer
Matthew has overall responsibility for sales, marketing, and account management. He works closely with the CEO to continuously identify markets and strategic relationships across various health care organizations.
Matthew has over 18 years of progressive healthcare experience. Prior to joining Vital Decisions, Matthew held various sales and account management leadership positions at Medco and Express Scripts. He has achieved various sales and leadership awards throughout his career and he has been published in Benefits Magazine. He holds an MBA in management from Iona College and a BBA in Finance from Pace University.
Vice President of Finance
Reporting to the CEO Ms. Steuerer oversees the financial reporting, treasury, tax, payroll and benefits management functions.
Ms Steuerer has over 25 years of management and leadership experience in financial reporting and analysis, financial systems implementation, policy and process design and business development. She is a financial operations veteran with a broad background across the healthcare, financial service, and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Vital Decisions, she was the Controller for The Green Exchange, a startup carbon futures exchange and Vice President of Accounting Operations for the New York Mercantile Exchange. She has held several senior financial roles at Bellsouth Wireless Data, and The Journal Register and was a senior auditor for Coopers and Lybrand. Ms. Steuerer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Scranton.
Vice President of Corporate Operations and Affairs
Leah serves as the Vice President of Corporate Operations and Affairs. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. In this capacity she oversees multiple departments within the organization; Informatics and reporting, Information technology and security, Facilities and Operational support.
Leah has spent the last 13 years specializing in sales and operations for organizations of varying sizes and stages. Prior to Vital Decisions Leah built and sustained the Sales Operations department of a small start-up technology company. She and her team operationalized the business to handle significant growth within a short period of time. This successful growth led to the company’s ability to gain funding for additional growth and eventually its acquisition by a Fortune 50 company. In the past, Leah has been instrumental in diagnosing areas of an organization that can be improved and then creating solutions that align with the company’s budget and vision to implement those improvements. Leah has extensive Project Management Planning (PMP) training and is Lean Six Sigma Certified.
Vice President of Business Development
Brett Eickenberg is Vice President of Business Development for Vital Decisions and is responsible for new business development nationally. Brett has nearly 25 years of experience in business development roles for various healthcare organizations. This experience includes large group benefits, pharmacy benefit management and wellness and disease management. Brett holds a BS degree in finance from the University of Tennessee.
Director of Account Management
Vince has responsibility for all client service functions, including implementation of the Living Well program. He serves as the primary contact for all customer interactions and training.
Vince possesses over 20 years of experience in account management for Healthcare, including over ten years working with national health plans. Vince has worked for both provider and payor organizations including Aetna, UnitedHealth Group, and McKesson, Inc.
Vince has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Duquesne University.
Director of Quality Management
Sue has responsibility of ensuring that the mission of helping clients connect their values to their care is central in day to day clinical practice and fully realized in the service we provide. She works closely with the leadership team to help maintain balance and integrity in this endeavor and oversees training and staff development for the counseling operations department.
Sue brings over 20 years experience as a leader in evidence based practices training, coaching, implementation, and quality assurance. Throughout her career, she has consulted extensively for professionals and agencies seeking improved quality in serving clients within the fields of behavioral/mental health, primary care, education, and public/community health. For 10 years prior to joining Vital Decisions, she served as president of EckMaahs and Associates Training and Consulting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Sue holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota and is an actively contributing member and leader within the international MINT organization (Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers).
